So what’s hot and what’s not in 2008?We could see the answer in New York, London, Milan and Paris when the designers presented their new collections for spring and summer 2008. 24 days and 387 shows…a time in which the new trends were set.So what are the most important trends for this year? Two things were striking in all shows: Intense colors and feathers.Lanvin, Balenciaga and Blumarine presented bright colors from yellow to green to purple and floral prints. So for this summer you can mix and match every color…but it’s always good to not wear more than 3 different colors at the same time. You don’t wanna look like a clown;)If you like to dress a little more simple, the nude look, which was one of the most important trends in 07, will stay in 08. Colors like white, beige and brown look great in combination to colourful accessories.Especially Fendi, La Perla and Kenzo showed off a lot of feathers on their outfits. Feathers of every size on bags , jewelry and even dresses. Forget fur, go for feathers this summer;)It was all about Stars&Stripes in the Chanel Show. A lot of denim in dark blue and star prints. Chanel also showed a change regarding jeans this year. Tight-cut jeans was 2007, wide and long jeans à la Marlene Dietrich is 2008.So to sum it up,if you wanna be fashionable in 2008, you can’t go wrong with bright colors, feathers, denim and a lot of accessories!
